
Terms and Conditions (AGB) – Backyard Mountain
​These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) outline the conditions under which Backyard Mountain (“Accommodation”, “we”, “us”) provides accommodation and related services to Guests (“Guest”, “Customer”).
By making a booking, the Customer agrees to these Terms.
1. Definitions
Arrival Date: The start date of the Guest’s stay.
Booking: A reservation for accommodation and services confirmed by us.
Booking Details: Number of guests, rooms, dates, and additional services.
Charges: Total amount payable for the Booking.
Customer: The person making the reservation.
Guest: The Customer and any accompanying persons.
Accommodation: Backyard Mountain, Ginzling 254, 6295 Ginzling, Tirol, Austria.
2. Bookings
2.1 Bookings may be placed via our website, booking platforms, or directly by email.
2.2 Customers must provide accurate personal information (name, address, phone, email).
2.3 A Booking is confirmed only when written confirmation has been issued.
2.4 Changes to dates, number of guests, or services are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
2.5 For shared rooms, we aim to place Guests from the same Booking together, but this cannot be guaranteed.
2.6 Group bookings (8+ guests) may be subject to different policies.
3. Fees and Payment
3.1 Charges are communicated at the time of booking.
3.2 Charges cover accommodation only unless stated otherwise.
3.3 Full payment is required prior to arrival unless agreed otherwise.
3.4 If not prepaid, the outstanding balance will be charged on the day of arrival.
3.5 We reserve the right to pre-authorise credit cards.
3.6 Accepted payment methods:

Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Diners Club

3.7 VAT is included. Prices may change if tax regulations are adjusted by law.
4. Cancellations & No-Shows
4.1 Standard Cancellation Policy:

Free cancellation up to 30 days before the Arrival Date.

For cancellations 30 to 15 days before the Arrival Date: 50% of the total Charges apply.

For cancellations within 14 days before the Arrival Date: 100% of the total Charges apply.

In case of no-show: 100% of the total Charges will be charged.
4.2 Group bookings (8+ people): cancellation terms may vary; contact us directly.
4.3 Non-refundable bookings: full Charges apply regardless of cancellation.
4.4 Failure to cancel or no-show results in full Charges.
4.5 We may cancel a Booking due to force majeure (natural disasters, extreme weather, etc.). An alternative date will be offered.
4.6 If payment details are invalid and no alternative is provided, the booking may be cancelled.
5. Check-in & Check-out
5.1 Check-in: from 16:00
5.2 Check-out: before 10:00
5.3 Late check-out without approval may incur an extra night’s charge.
6. House Rules
To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests and to protect our neighbourhood, the following house rules apply:
6.1 Quiet Hours

Quiet hours: 22:00 – 08:00.

During the day: music and conversations only at room volume, indoors and outdoors.

In the garden: only low background music is allowed.

Please respect our neighbours; we live on the property as well.
6.2 Outdoor Areas

Balconies may not be accessed.

Keep the garden clean and tidy.

Snow may not be piled in front of doors or emergency exits.
6.3 Cleanliness

Kitchen and bathroom must be left clean after use.

Dishes must be washed and put away.
-
No food or open drinks in the rooms.
-
Hiking shoes must be taken off in the entrance area.
6.4 Smoking, Alcohol & Substances

Smoking only in designated areas.
-
Illegal substances are not permitted anywhere on the property.

Alcohol may be consumed responsibly and within legal limits.

No open flames, candles, or personal cooking devices in the rooms.
6.5 Fire Safety

No open flames inside the building.
-
Fires only at the designated fire pit, under supervision, max. ankle-high.
-
In case of emergency: leave the building, call 122, inform the host.
6.6 Parking

Maximum 3 cars on the onsite parking area.

The road downhill is a public road and must remain fully accessible at all times.

Additional cars must be parked at the Naturparkhaus.
6.7 Pets
-
Pets must be registered before arrival.
-
Pets are not allowed on beds or sofas.

Pet waste must be removed immediately.

Pets must be leashed in the garden if other guests are present.
6.8 Energy & Heating

Keep windows closed when heating.
-
Turn off lights and heaters when leaving rooms.
6.9 Damage & Responsibility

Guests are liable for damages caused intentionally or through negligence.

We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
6.10 Violations
Severe or repeated violations of the house rules may result in termination of the stay without refund. Deposits may be withheld to cover damages or rule violations.
7. Food & Drinks
7.1 Accommodation rates do not include meals unless stated.
7.2 Use of shared kitchen facilities must follow posted rules.
8. Accessibility
8.1 We comply with applicable accessibility regulations.
8.2 Guests with specific requirements should contact us prior to arrival.
9. Liability
9.1 We are not liable for loss of profit, indirect damages, or items left unattended.
9.2 We do not exclude liability for injury or death caused by our negligence.
9.3 Guests are responsible for securing their belongings.
10. Personal Data
10.1 We process personal data according to the GDPR.
10.2 Data is used for reservations, communication, accounting, and statistics.
10.3 Data may be shared with booking platforms or service providers where legally necessary.
10.4 Data will only be disclosed to authorities when required by law.
11. General Provisions
11.1 These Terms are governed exclusively by Austrian law.
11.2 The competent courts in Austria shall have jurisdiction.
11.3 We reserve the right to update these Terms. The version valid at the time of Booking applies.
